At Magpie, our story begins with a passion for Nails. From a very young age Sarah loved to paint nails - firstly for her mum and her nan, whom she adorned with a beautiful array of colours. And then again whilst working in a corporate career for a local council over sixteen years ago.
In her spare time, she created aspirational nails for her friends and family. She then left her full-time job to concentrate on nails, she gained a large customer base. Inspired by a leap of faith, and noticing a gap in the market for nail art glitter, ten years ago Sarah decided to follow a vision and Magpie was founded. Magpie is a brand built on a love for all things shiny.
From humble beginnings in a converted garage, ticking off her goals and dreams whilst painting one set of nails at a time, to the global professional nail care brand it is today. Magpie is much-loved by nail technicians and respected as one of the most ethical brands in the industry.

MAGPIE AFTERCARE
• Use cuticle oil every morning & night. This will not only condition your cuticles but will nourish the root of the natural nail allowing it to produce stronger, more flexible and non-flaking natural nails and prolong the life of your gel manicure.
• Be careful when using sun tan lotion, insect repellent and chlorine. Always wash your hands after use.
• Be careful using make-up, hair dye, self-tan products and when eating/handling strong foods such as curry & spices as they will stain your manicure. Ensure you use gloves and wash hands after application.
• Use protective gloves for housework, gardening, DIY etc. as household chemicals will damage your manicure and also dry out your natural nail.
• Moisturise your hands every time after washing hands. This will allow the skin to stay smooth and youthful.
MAGPIE AFTERCARE - POINTS TO NOTE
NEVER use your nails as tools, treat them the way you would your natural nails. Take care when opening can ring pulls or car doors etc. They are not indestructible.
Do not pick your manicure, this will remove the upper layer of your natural nails causing damage. Have them removed professionally with an appropriate remover.
If any adverse reaction occurs: rash, redness, inflammation of any kind around the nails please contact your GP immediately.
Do not miss your regular maintenance appointments to ensure your nails stay looking at their best. It is advised to carry out manicures every 2-3 weeks.
Avoid intense heat or direct sunlight.
